Position OverviewImplement, maintain, manage and optimize server infrastructure environment including both physical/virtual servers (Windows Server, Linux and VMWare hypervisor), database/web subsystems, e-mail systems, application systems and system management tools. This role is critical and combines expertise in on-prem virtualization with cloud-based services to ensure high availability, performance and security across the server environment, backup systems and hyperconverged platforms. Must troubleshoot and resolve issues, perform system upgrades, patching and performance tuning. Maintain Window Active directory environment, including Domain Controllers, DNS, DHCP, security parameters, Folder structure/security and Group Policy settings. Participating in audits, business continuity and disaster recovery exercises. Strong communication and documentation skills is a must.

Education/Experience

Minimum Required:

  • Associates Degree in Computer Science or related field OR 

  • 4 years experience in IT Server/Storage/Backup field

Preferred:

  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field

  • 5+ years experience in IT Server/Storage/Backup field

License/Certification

Preferred:

  • VMWare Certified Professional (VCP)

  • Veeam Certified Engineer (VMCE)

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate

  • CompTIA Server+

  • CompTIA Security+
