HR 218 / L.E.O.S.A. status REQUIRED. Prior Law Enforcement and Military Experience Required.

First Responder Protective Services is looking for prior ERT, military, or law enforcement professionals for the position of Specialized Logistical Escort Personnel / Cargo Security Escorts. As part of this elite team, you will be working beside fellow prior veterans and law enforcement professionals.

Pay: $35/hour

Status: Full Time / Part Time

Location: Austin, TX. (Home Office in Dallas, TX)

Position Summary:

First Responder Protective Services is looking for retired/prior local, state, or federal law enforcement officers, or retired military personnel WITH HR 218 CREDS for the position of Cargo Security Agent. Must have extensive experience providing physical security, emergency response, surveillance detection, secure transportation.

HR 218 / L.E.O.S.A. status is REQUIRED.

Current openings are for FULL TIME and PART TIME agents, allowing for a flexible schedule, with the opportunity to become full-time in the future. The primary duty of this position is to to follow our client's tractor-trailers out of Austin area on long and short-term hauls across the continental USA, ensuring that the vehicle and its load arrives safely at their destinations. When traveling long distances, agents work in teams of at least two, and are provided a vehicle and equipment to follow the load. Once the escort is complete, agents will be provided with air transportation to return to Austin, TX.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Prior ERT, military, law enforcement WITH valid / active HR 218 / L.E.O.S.A. Credentials. Credentials must be made available for review.
• MUST Currently possess or be able to obtain prior to employment, Level III Texas Commissioned Security Guard License with the Personal Protection Officer endorsement.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience.
• Favorable driving history with a valid driver's license
• Texas Driver's license, or ability to get one prior to employment
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally.
• Ability to sit and drive for long hours.
• Ability to travel on short notice within 12-24 hours notice.
• Ability to fly on commercial airlines
• Ability to sleep in unusual time periods, remain alert during escorts, and no complacency tendencies.

• Hourly Pay: $35.00
• Bi-weekly direct deposit
• W2 employee (eligible for overtime after 40 hours in a week)

FAQ's:

• The number of escorts available each week is unpredictable and varies with sales patterns of merchandise being escorted.
• Most escorts ONLY have 12-48 hours notice, prior to departure time
• Majority of escorts go out Monday-Thursday, and generally leave overnight. However, there are weekend escorts as well.
• MUST HAVE GOOD FLEXIBILITY, great attitude, and want to pick up escorts as they are available.
• Escorts are most frequent at the end of each month, even more at the end of each quarter, and the most frequent, at end of the year. Follows sales cycles.
