Professional Bather

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pet Bather to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality bathing ensuring their comfort and well-being. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animals and possess the skills necessary to handle various breeds with care and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Bathe, dry, and brushing pets, nail trim
• Ensure the safety and comfort of all animals during grooming sessions.
• Maintain cleanliness in the grooming area, including washing equipment and tools after each use.
• Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' needs and any observations during grooming.
• Assist a groomer in handling pets when necessary.
• Provide excellent customer service to pet owners, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
• Maintain accurate records of services provided and any special instructions from clients.
• De-shedding, De-matting efficiently as needed

Skills

• Proficiency in dog handling techniques and animal restraint methods.
• Experience in pet grooming or a background in veterinary care is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of dog training principles is a plus.
• Familiarity with animal care practices, including bathing techniques and skin care products for pets.
• Strong customer service skills to ensure a positive experience for pet owners.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting when handling large or active animals.
• Previous experience in kennel environments or as a veterinary technician/groomer assistant is plus.
