First Team Automotive Group is growing, and we're looking for a dynamic, experienced HR Generalist (SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP) to join our team This is a great opportunity for an HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-location environment and has hands-on payroll experience.
What You'll Do
- Manage daily HR operations across multiple dealership locations
- Process and audit bi-weekly payroll accurately and on time
- Maintain HRIS and employee records with strict confidentiality
- Lead onboarding, orientation, and offboarding processes
- Administer benefits and respond to employee questions
- Support recruiting and hiring managers
- Assist with employee relations, investigations, and performance management
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
- Partner with accounting on payroll reconciliation and reporting
- Support training, engagement, and HR improvement initiatives

Experience and Skills:
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP required
- 3+ years of HR generalist experience (automotive or multi-location preferred)
- Payroll processing experience (ADP, Paycom, or similar systems)
- Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- High level of professionalism and confidentiality
