Introduction/Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Quadient Developer to join a dynamic development team supporting enterprise-level customer communication and document automation. This role focuses on designing and delivering document output solutions using Quadient Inspire Suite and related tools to manage the transformation and delivery of business-critical communications.

You will participate in all phases of the development lifecycle, engaging with clients, integrating with legacy and modern platforms, and implementing solutions that streamline print and digital communications. This opportunity suits a mid-senior professional with strong technical depth and business communication expertise.

Key Responsibilities

Development & System Integration:

  • Build, configure, and support document processing workflows using Quadient Inspire, Scaler, Dynamic Communications, and Interactive.

  • Handle data transformation processes, input management (XML, JSON, flat files), and output generation (TNO, PDF, AFP).

  • Interface with upstream and downstream systems using APIs, MQ, and SFTP protocols.

Architecture & Best Practices:

  • Collaborate with customer IT and business stakeholders to define architecture standards and form development best practices.

  • Participate in technical discussions and propose scalable, efficient communication workflows.

Lifecycle Participation:

  • Support the entire system development lifecycle, including requirement gathering, design, development, and implementation.

  • Monitor the Scaler Dashboard, track job status, and identify and resolve job abends.

  • Prepare functional and technical design documentation, including mapping specifications and configuration records.

Cross-Platform Collaboration:

  • Work closely with integration teams across Unix, AIX, and Linux environments.

  • Ensure document applications are aligned with existing enterprise architectures and delivery platforms.

Required Skills and Expertise

Experience:

  • 10+ years of professional IT experience with a strong focus on document automation.

  • Direct experience with Quadient Inspire, Scaler, Dynamic Communications, and Interactive modules.

Technical Proficiency:

  • Proficient in handling structured data formats (XML, JSON, flat files).

  • Experienced in output generation to PDF, AFP, TNO.

  • Working knowledge of API integration, message queuing (MQ), and secure file transfer (SFTP).

  • Understanding of Scaler dashboards and troubleshooting job flows.

Professional Attributes:

  • Strong technical documentation and communication skills.

  • Able to create design documents, mapping specs, and functional specs with precision and clarity.

  • Effective in collaborative environments, especially in integration-heavy or multi-platform setups.

Other Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • No relocation or visa sponsorship available.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Java, SQL, Oracle Documaker, Xpression, or other CCM tools.

  • Working knowledge of Groovy scripting, GitHub, and AWS Cloud environments.

  • Background in document printing and mailing operations is a plus.
