Position Summary:

Senior Electrical Engineer designs advanced electrical components and sub-assemblies with minimal support.This position reports to the Manager, Electronics Research and Engineering or Manager, RF Products.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Detail & design electrical component & electrical sub-assemblies

  • Research, test & assemble electrical components & electrical sub-assemblies

  • Troubleshoot Production problems

  • Assist in the documentation of components & sub-assemblies

  • Maintain documentation and/or logbook.

  • Responsible for maintaining design documentation for review purposes

  • Participate in multi-discipline design efforts with high awareness of design implications within team environment.

  • Provides research support, understands new technologies, and supports product innovation.

  • Supports specialty electrical designs with high degree of technical independence.

Position Requirements:

  • Experience in a broad range of Electrical Engineering topics, such as:1. Mixed Signal Design (ADC/DAC) / Measurement Systems


    2. Microcontroller design

    3. Analog design

    4. Closed loop temperature control systems

    5. AC design (single phase and three phase)

    6. High voltage design (1kV and above, typically low power)

    7. Motor Control

    8. HMI (human machine interface) design

    9. System design

    10. PWB/PCB (printed wire board/printed circuit board) and PWA (printed wiring assembly) experience.

    11. Wire harness design

  • Displays appropriate personality traits and strong communication skills

  • Aware of design implications within team environment

  • Documentation skills (prints, schematics, BOM, log books, specifications, etc.)

  • Strong interpersonal, coordination, and facilitating skills

  • Strong awareness of multi-disciplined/stakeholder needs

Education/Certifications:

Master's Degree or Bachelor's Degree with related work experience or related work experience.7+ years of applicable work experience.
