Key Duties & Responsibilities

Housekeeping Responsibilities

  • Perform complete cleaning of guest rooms, including dusting, vacuuming, bed making, bathroom sanitation, and replenishing amenities to hotel standards.
  • Deep clean assigned areas regularly, ensuring all surfaces, fixtures, and furnishings meet strict hygiene and presentation requirements.
  • Maintain cleanliness and order in hallways, guest areas, housekeeping closets, and storage rooms.
  • Inspect rooms thoroughly to ensure all standards are met before guest arrival.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests for additional supplies, amenities, or services.
  • Report maintenance issues, damaged items, or irregularities to management immediately.

Laundry Responsibilities

  • Operate commercial washers, dryers, pressing equipment, and steamers to process linens, towels, uniforms, and guest laundry with expert care.
  • Sort laundry by fabric, color, and treatment needs to ensure proper handling and pristine results.
  • Perform delicate and dry-cleaning tasks for specialty fabrics requiring professional attention.
  • Monitor linen quality and inventory, identifying items needing repair or replacement.
  • Keep all laundry facilities clean, sanitized, and well-organized.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a professional hotel housekeeper is required; not an entry-level or support role.
  • Strong knowledge of housekeeping standards, cleaning chemicals, laundry equipment, and sanitation practices.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, efficiency, and the ability to maintain high standards consistently.
  • Capable of working independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple tasks.
  • Strong organizational skills and understanding of safety procedures involving chemicals and machinery.
