Role Description

This is a full-time Quality Engineer role located on-site in White House, TN (no relocation is being offered at this time). The Quality Engineer will be responsible for ensuring product quality meets established standards. Daily tasks will include quality assurance, problem resolution, and quality management activities. The role will also involve providing leadership for continuous improvement team activities and developing improvements to ensure the highest quality standards are met for our customers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
  • 3-5 Years experience in a manufacturing engineering required environment, medical experience preferred
  • Experience with lean manufacturing principals, project management and ISO14001 procedures preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and on a team; excellent interpersonal skills
  • Experience with PLEX preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead all aspects of customer satisfaction; monitor customer websites and review customer specific requirements; keep customer compliant database and all documentation up to date
  • Lead responses to customer complaint and concern activities; act as the point contact for the customer and internally for all quality issues
  • Participate in new project launches completing all customer and supplier submissions accurately and timely
  • Identify all quality requirements to the suppliers in writing when the POs are placed; prepare control and inspection plans for new projects - reviewing and revising as needed
  • Identify supplier related issues that affect customers or internal quality; assist the Materials department with supplier improvement projects as needed
  • Support the production floor with problem solving, data analysis and investigations; participate in prioritizing problems and working to implement solutions
  • Provide quality related training to production employees as needed regarding SPC, Kaizen, QC and other quality tools, etc.
  • Participate on Internal Audit team; perform various internal quality and process audits to ensure conformance to ISO14001 requirements and to continually improve internal quality and production efficiencies
