Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Bookkeeper/Tax Preparer to join our financial team. Duties

  • Maintain accurate financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks and Sage, including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and general ledger entries
  • Prepare individual, business, and corporate tax returns with thorough attention to detail and compliance with current tax laws
  • Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial documents regularly to ensure data integrity
  • Assist clients with financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting to support their business growth and financial health
  • Provide exceptional customer service by responding promptly to client inquiries and offering tailored financial solutions
  • Conduct data entry with high accuracy utilizing 10 key typing skills to ensure efficient processing of large volumes of information
  • Support marketing efforts by promoting our services through social media channels and community outreach initiatives

Skills

  • Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks and Sage is essential for day-to-day bookkeeping tasks
  • Strong understanding of public accounting principles, tax preparation processes, and technical accounting standards
  • Excellent analysis skills to interpret financial data accurately and provide actionable insights
  • Knowledge of financial concepts such as cash flow management, profit & loss statements, and balance sheets
  • Demonstrated experience in sales or marketing to effectively promote services and grow client base
  • Exceptional math skills combined with attention to detail for precise calculations and data entry
  • Ability to perform 10 key typing at a high speed with accuracy for efficient record keeping
  • Customer service orientation with excellent communication skills for client interactions
  • Familiarity with various financial software platforms used in corporate accounting environments
