About the Role

Based in Morehead City, NC, you'll be the go-to expert keeping our production equipment reliable, safe, and performing at its peak. Your day blends hands-on mechanical work with control systems troubleshooting and instrumentation calibration to keep the plant running smoothly.

A Day in the Life
  • Start-up checks: Review work orders, walk the floor, and prioritize preventive tasks.
  • Controls and instrumentation: Read P&IDs and electrical schematics, calibrate analyzers and field instruments, and diagnose control loop issues.
  • PLC work: Troubleshoot I/O, make minor program adjustments, and resolve wiring faults to keep systems stable.
  • Mechanical reliability: Lockout/Tagout, then repair and maintain presses, metal shears, and other mechanical systems.
  • Safety & compliance: Perform inspections to meet safety standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaboration: Partner with teammates to optimize uptime and performance.
  • Documentation: Record maintenance actions, findings, and equipment performance data.
  • Projects: Help install and commission new machinery as the facility expands.
  • Growth: Participate in training to deepen skills in PLCs, instrumentation, and mechanical systems.
What You'll Handle
  • Routine maintenance and corrective repairs across industrial equipment.
  • Blueprint reading, mechanical assembly, and construction tasks.
  • Systematic troubleshooting to resolve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
What You Bring
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or degree preferred.
  • At least 2 years of hands-on PLC experience.
  • Background as an industrial maintenance technician or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to interpret technical manuals, P&IDs, and electrical schematics.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends and on-call rotations.
