Duties
- Operate and monitor water distribution equipment, including pumps, valves, and control systems such as programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and distributed control systems (DCS).
- Conduct routine inspections of pipelines, tanks, and related infrastructure to ensure optimal operation and identify potential issues early.
- Perform maintenance and repair on equipment, including plumbing fixtures, pumps, motors, and mechanical components.
- Collect data on system performance, water quality parameters, and operational metrics to support analysis and decision-making.
- Assist with wastewater treatment processes and water treatment plant operations to maintain compliance with environmental standards.
- Operate heavy machinery such as backhoes, loaders, or tanker trucks for construction or maintenance projects.
- Support construction activities by performing basic excavation, pipe installation, or infrastructure upgrades under supervision.
- Engage in heavy lifting tasks safely while adhering to safety protocols; perform routine inspections for safety hazards.
- Troubleshoot system malfunctions using analysis skills and technical knowledge; implement corrective actions promptly.
- Maintain detailed records of daily operations, maintenance activities, repairs, and data collection logs.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or coursework in water treatment or mechanical systems is preferred.
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record; experience operating tanker trucks or heavy equipment is a plus.
- Basic understanding of plumbing systems, mechanical knowledge, and equipment repair techniques.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), distributed control systems (DCS), and data collection methods.
- Knowledge of water treatment processes and wastewater treatment operations is desirable.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting, climbing ladders, and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong analysis skills combined with basic math proficiency for measurements and calculations.

Pay: $ $50.00 per hour
