This position will be located onsite in the Chicago Corporate Office in West Loop. 

Summary: 

The Corporate Director of Human Resources will be responsible for developing and implementing human resources strategies across Arbor Lodging. This role will play a pivotal part in fostering a positive and productive workplace culture, ensuring compliance with relevant employment laws, and supporting the growth and development of our team members. The successful candidate will collaborate with senior leadership, hotel management teams, and employees to drive HR initiatives that align with the company's overall business objectives. 

Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and implement HR strategies that support the company's overall business objectives and enhance the employee experience. 
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to align HR initiatives with organizational goals and values. 
  • Oversee employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievance procedures. 
  • Conduct regular communication sessions to address employee concerns and disseminate important information. 
  • Implement talent management programs, including performance management, training, and development initiatives. 
  • Foster a learning culture that encourages continuous improvement and professional growth. 
  • Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures in accordance with legal requirements and industry best practices. 
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure data accuracy and legal compliance. 
  • Manage employee benefits programs, including health, retirement, and wellness initiatives. 
  • Travel will be required ~25% of the time.  

Requirements

 Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus. 
  • Proven experience as an HR leader in the hospitality industry. 
  • In-depth knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and industry best practices. 
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships at all levels. 
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing HR strategies that drive business results. 
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a diverse team.

Pay is based upon several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
