LET US INTRODUCE OURSELVESRytech of the Midlands is seeking a dedicated and skilled water and fire Restoration Technician Assistant to support our restoration team in delivering high-quality services to clients affected by water, fire, and mold damage. This role is ideal for individuals with hands-on experience or a strong interest in the restoration industry, who are committed to helping others recover from property damage.

In this thrilling and hands-on role, you'll assist in setting up drying equipment, moving personal contents, and performing light demolition when necessary. Documentation plays a crucial role, as you'll capture photos and take notes to keep each project organized and on track. Expect a diverse range of tasksone day you might extract water from a carpeted room, while another could involve cleaning and restoring affected areas. As part of a supportive team, you'll learn industry best practices and communicate directly with customers, ensuring they feel cared for during stressful times.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS WATER DAMAGE TECHNICIAN ASSISTANT JOBTo thrive as a Full-Time Water Damage Technician Assistant at Rytech Restoration of The Midlands, a diverse set of skills is essential. A basic understanding of water damage restoration processes is vital, and while training is provided, a proactive willingness to learn is key. Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to use hand tools and power tools safely for light demolition and equipment setup. Mechanical aptitude is crucial for effectively operating drying equipment such as air movers and dehumidifiers. Attention to detail is necessary for accurate documentation and photo capture, ensuring that every project is meticulously organized.
Physical stamina is important to handle lifting and moving equipment and contents weighing up to 50 lbs. Strong problem-solving skills will help you adapt to the unique challenges of each job site. Excellent customer service skills are essential for maintaining professional communication with clients, while teamwork and reliability will ensure you work efficiently under the guidance of your lead technician. Additionally, basic technology skills for job tracking and reporting using smartphones or tablets, alongside a valid drivers license and clean driving record, are essential for this role. A willingness to work on-call rotations, weekends, and occasional overnight travel will further enhance your success in this exciting position.
Knowledge and skills required for the position are:
