The Chief of Staff provides leadership and operational oversight for the President in advancing the College's mission and goals. Serves as the primary liaison between the President and the Board of Trustees, senior leadership, key stakeholders, and faculty and staff, working to ensure the constituencies are brought together to build unity and to prioritize and execute the President's vision and goals. Ensure accurate, proper, and timely flow of information and that the President's time is prioritized in line with the most significant and strategic matters. Provide oversight and direction for the President's office and respond to internal and external crises and challenges. With the College's Marketing and Communications team, develop, coordinate, and assess the President's most visible communications. Support the President with fundraising initiatives. Travel with and support the President at internal and external events. Reports directly to the College President and serves on the College's Executive Committee which provides overall leadership to the College.
Required Qualifications
Bachelors Degree 5 years of experience in higher education, with specific knowledge of HBCUs highly preferred 2 years of exemplary performance in high-pressure work environments
Preferred Qualifications
Certified Manager (CM) from Institute of Certified Professional Managers Certified Executive Chief of Staff ( CECS )
