Job Overview

We are seeking a professional and reliable non-CDL Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating our flat bed trucks.,This role involves delivering processed steel to construction sites efficiently in a 100 mile radius while maintaining compliance with safety regulations and company policies. Candidates with experience in freight load and unload, route driving, and commercial driving are encouraged to apply. While this is a part time position, it could quickly grow into full-time if you are willing to perform assigned tasks in out steel fabrication shop after routes are complete for the day.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a our flat bed trucks.
  • Load and unload freight efficiently while adhering to safety standards.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
  • Plan routes effectively to meet delivery schedules and optimize fuel efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs in accordance with DOT regulations.
  • Comply with all federal, state, and local transportation laws and safety regulations.
  • Perform routine maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues promptly.
  • Assist with forklift operations when necessary for loading or unloading cargo.
  • Ensure cargo is secured properly during transit to prevent damage or accidents.

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license.
  • Proven experience in truck driving, including route driving and freight delivery.
  • Knowledge of refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks is a plus.
  • Ability to load & unload cargo efficiently using forklifts or manual methods as needed.
  • Strong understanding of DOT regulations and safety standards for commercial drivers.
  • Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record.
  • Physical ability to load/unload freight and perform routine vehicle inspections.
