Wireless Software Developer

Apple's Wireless Software Architecture team is seeking talented, highly motivated and self-directed engineers to work across layers on cutting edge wireless technologies. The position involves developing core wireless technologies that solves everyday problems for customers using iPhone, iPad, Watch and other wireless product lines.

Description

We are searching for a highly motivated Wireless Software Developer who can work as a part of an extraordinary development team. In this position, you will have the opportunity to develop exciting features for Apple's next generation products. You work will involve wireless software and protocol development around smart Home Automation technology and networking development. Your contributions will make a clear difference towards future Apple products.

Minimum Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in developing middle-ware, framework and API development.
• Preferred programming skills are Objective C, Swift, and/or C/C++.
• Experience with multi thread programming and strong knowledge of Operating Systems.
• Experience with writing software involving user space, kernel space interaction.
• Non-blocking, asynchronous interface coding experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with developing middle-ware software in OS daemons and interaction with drivers.
• Home automation experience is a plus.
• Working knowledge of IOT protocols such is a plus.
• Working experience with Open source Software is a plus.
• Clear and concise communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross functional teams.
• Passion for product quality and attention to detail.
• Passionate and inquisitive, seeks to tackle problems in innovative ways.

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $139,500 and $258,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
