What You'll Be Doing:

  • Assisting teachers in various age groups (infants to school-age).
  • Supporting classroom routines, transitions, and cleanup.
  • Building relationships with children and staff in a flexible role.
  • Keeping the center running smoothly and safely, one smile at a time.

Job Duties

Flexible Classroom Support

  • Provide support in any classroom (infants to school-age) based on daily staffing needs, including breaks, absences, or ratios.
  • Step into routines with ease, helping children transition smoothly through play, meals, naps, and outdoor time.
  • Build rapport with children quickly and kindly, offering consistency and calm even during change.

Daily Care & Engagement

  • Support diapering, potty routines, handwashing, and clean-up in developmentally appropriate ways.
  • Engage with children during free play, stories, music, art, and other activities—always staying present and playful.
  • Assist with managing group dynamics and gently redirecting behavior using guidance strategies modeled by lead teachers.

Classroom Maintenance

  • Clean, sanitize, and reset learning spaces after meals, activities, or transitions.
  • Keep classroom materials, shelves, and shared areas tidy and stocked.
  • Notify teachers or administrators of any safety, cleanliness, or supply issues.

Teamwork & Attitude

  • Jump in with a positive attitude and readiness to adapt to the needs of the day.
  • Communicate clearly with lead teachers, float partners, and administrators to support consistent routines.
  • Embrace every classroom's unique culture and contribute to inclusive, supportive environments across the center.

Professional Growth & Leadership

  • Participate in staff meetings, regular trainings, professional development sessions, and curriculum planning days- as needed
  • Be willing to learn the best practices in early childhood education, equity, and inclusion.
  • Model Culturally Growing's values through consistent, respectful communication and a growth-oriented mindset.

What You Bring:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in a childcare setting is a plus.
  • Willingness to learn understanding of child development and positive guidance strategies.
  • Big patience, bigger heart, and the flexibility of a yoga instructor.
  • CPR/First Aid Certification and Basic Childcare Training Courses (or willingness to obtain within 90 days of employment)
