Cozzini Bros. Inc. is the nation's leading provider of cutlery sharpening and exchange services to commercial kitchens. Our business is expanding, and we are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Regional Sales Manager (RSM) to lead and manage our business development efforts in a defined region.
Requirements
Position Overview:
The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for directly managing up to 10 Business Development Managers (BDMs) in a designated geographic region. This individual will play a key role in recruiting, training, and driving sales performance to meet and exceed revenue targets. The RSM will set clear sales goals, monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), and hold their team accountable for achieving and surpassing their sales quotas. This is a fully remote position with regular travel required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Team Management:
- Directly manage and provide leadership to a team of up to 10 Business Development Managers.
- Recruit, onboard, and train new team members to ensure high performance.
- Establish clear goals and targets for each team member, ensuring alignment with regional revenue objectives.
- Conduct regular one-on-one meetings to provide coaching, feedback, and performance reviews.
- Foster a collaborative, high-performance team environment with a focus on results.
• Sales Strategy & Execution:
- Develop and implement region-specific sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets.
- Monitor and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess progress toward goals and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Drive the development of new business opportunities while expanding relationships with existing customers.
- Collaborate with senior leadership and marketing to refine sales strategies and ensure alignment with corporate goals.
• Performance Management:
- Hold team members accountable for achieving sales quotas and individual performance metrics.
- Create and implement performance improvement plans when necessary, with a focus on coaching and skill development.
- Recognize and celebrate team achievements, while addressing challenges to maintain motivation and morale.
• Customer & Market Development:
- Represent Cozzini Bros. Inc. at industry events, conferences, and key client meetings.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, customer needs, and the competitive landscape to ensure Cozzini maintains its leadership position.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and prospects to drive growth and retain existing business.
• Reporting & Analysis:
- Provide regular reports to senior leadership on team performance, sales pipeline, and regional market trends.
- Use CRM tools and other resources to track sales progress, identify gaps, and implement corrective actions.
Qualifications:
Experience & Skills:
- Proven experience (2+ years) managing a field-based sales team, preferably in the B2B or commercial services sector.
- Track record of successfully leading a team to meet or exceed revenue targets.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop a sales team.
- Experience in recruiting and training new sales professionals.
- Solid understanding of sales strategies, including consultative selling and relationship management.
- Exceptional time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively present and influence at all levels of the organization.
Technical & Other Requirements:
- Proficiency with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and other sales tools.
- Ability to thrive in a remote, results-oriented environment with minimal supervision.
- Ability to travel as needed within the region.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred but not required).
