  • Sunday - Wednesday 9am - 7:30pm or
  • Wednesday - Saturday 9am - 7:30pm

Role Description:

We are seeking an experienced Kitchen Utility Worker to join our residential eating disorder interdisciplinary treatment team. We provide intensive treatment services for girls and young women with eating disorders and are seeking a highly detail-oriented individual with a strong ability to interpret culinary instructions. The best candidate can produce technically accurate serving sizes and will be eager to assist in meal preparations and kitchen operations in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Kitchen Support: Assist with basic food preparation tasks, help to portion and plate meals, snacks, and desserts, as well as transport food and supplies. Documentation skills are required. Will assist chefs with other tasks as needed.
  • Inventory management: Receive shipments, unpack items, and monitor inventory levels to ensure product availability.
  • Cleaning and Sanitation: Wash and store all dishes, cooking instruments, cutting boards, pots and pans; operate the dishwashing machine; empty trash and clean the kitchen and storage areas.
  • Organization: Maintain organized and sanitary kitchen and storage areas. Neatly wash and store all utensils, cooking instruments, dishes and cutting boards in their respective places
  • Equipment Maintenance: Keep dishwashing machine clean and operational, clean kitchen equipment.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other kitchen staff and interdisciplinary team members to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 year cooks' helper/entry level food preparations experience (required)
  • ServSafe Food Handlers certification (required)
  • High school diploma or GED (required)
  • Be 21 years of age or above (required)
  • Valid driver's license and must be insurable on the company insurance (required)
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to lift heavy items approximately 60 lbs.
  • Healthcare environment experience (preferred)
  • Sound knowledge of proper food handling and food safety procedures.
  • Excellent communication, organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to safely use all kitchen equipment and appliances.
  • Must past background check and be able to work around children

We offer highly competitive wage base for the Kitchen Utility Worker role. Pay range is $19.00-$23.00/hour, depending on relevant work experience and level of education.
