Veterinarian Urgent Care – Newport News, VA

A modern and fast-paced veterinary practice is seeking an experienced Veterinarian Urgent Care  to join its growing team in Newport News, Virginia. This position is ideal for a doctor who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys managing urgent, non-emergency cases for companion animals. You'll have the opportunity to practice high-quality medicine with advanced equipment in a supportive and collaborative setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver compassionate and efficient care to pets with urgent medical needs

  • Diagnose and treat acute conditions and minor injuries in canine and feline patients

  • Communicate clearly and empathetically with pet owners regarding treatment options

  • Collaborate closely with skilled technicians and support staff to ensure seamless patient care

  • Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation while adhering to the highest standards of care

 

Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise

  • DVM or VMD degree from an accredited veterinary college (or equivalent international certification)

  • Active or eligible veterinary license in Virginia

  • Strong multitasking and clinical decision-making skills

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and teamwork abilities
