Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Infant Teacher to join our team and to work from 10:30 AM to 6:30 PM. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and a strong commitment to fostering a safe, engaging, and supportive environment for infants. This role involves implementing developmentally appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, and cognitive growth in young children.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain a safe, clean, and nurturing classroom environment for infants.
  • Implement age-appropriate activities that support early childhood development.
  • Monitor and assess each child's progress, providing feedback to parents and guardians as needed.
  • Manage classroom behavior effectively to ensure a positive learning atmosphere.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive educational experience.
  • Maintain accurate records of each child's development and daily activities.
  • Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns.
  • Provide individualized support for children with special needs or disabilities as required.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and practices.
  • Experience in early childhood education, particularly in infant care and toddler care.
  • Classroom management skills to maintain an organized learning environment.
  • Ability to work effectively with children with disabilities or special needs.
  • First aid certification is preferred; willingness to obtain if not currently certified.
  • Experience working in daycare settings or preschools is highly desirable.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with children, parents, and staff.
  • Previous experience in caregiving roles such as nannying or babysitting is beneficial.
