Quest Employment Services is seeking a Project SEARCH Employment Specialist to support our Project SEARCH site at Hunt Regional Hospital in Greenville, TX to begin immediately.

The Employment Specialist will collaborate with the local School District, the host business (Hunt Regional), and Texas Workforce Solutions (TWS) to facilitate seamless transitions for young adults with disabilities (customers/interns) into the workforce. This is a contract position and under the supervision of the Quest Employment Services Director, the Employment Specialist develops job opportunities and placements for interns, contacts employers for job openings, and works with employers to identify positions and tasks for their clients.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

  • Collaborate within the school district's framework, promoting positivity, professionalism, and mutual respect.
  • Work under the guidance of Quest's Director to align with organizational and program goals.
  • Conduct home visits with interns and families to explain services, gather intake information, and complete assessments.
  • Partner with the school district and Texas Workforce Solutions (TWS) to coach interns on job applications, interview skills, and on/off-site training.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with individuals from diverse professional and cultural backgrounds.
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation of intern progress and service outcomes in compliance with agency and state requirements.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership, self-management, and ethical decision-making skills.
  • Keep organized, confidential electronic case files and practice effective case management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with case management systems preferred.
  • Hold or be willing to obtain UNTWISE credentials (Job Skills Training, Job Placement, or Supported Employment). Candidates already credentialed will be prioritized.
  • Bachelor's degree in Rehabilitation Counseling, Psychology, Child Development, Social Work, Special Education, or a related field required.
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities required.
  • Must have a valid driver's license, personal vehicle, and insurance for limited travel in the greater Greenville area.
  • Must be willing to transport interns to interviews as needed.
  • The position follows the school district calendar, with most work during the academic year and summer duties focused on home visits and job coaching.
  • Two of Quest's Directors are Certified Rehabilitation Counselors, offering opportunities for graduate students to earn client contact hours or internship experience.
