Our client, a fast-growing global consumer goods company, is seeking a
Senior Category & Insights Analyst
to join their U.S. team. This is an exciting opportunity to serve as a strategic thought partner across Sales, Marketing, and New Product Development, helping shape customer strategies and drive business growth across major FDM retailers such as Walmart, Kroger, and Albertsons.

As a key member of the Category Management function, the Senior Analyst will transform data into actionable insights, deliver impactful storytelling, and help influence category and assortment decisions that elevate our client's retail presence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead category management support for key FDM accounts, developing and presenting customer-specific insights that inform assortment, merchandising, and pricing strategies. Build compelling, data-driven stories that align with retailer objectives and unlock growth opportunities.
  • Partner closely with Sales, Marketing, and NPD teams to guide commercial planning and new product initiatives. Provide insights that inform go-to-market strategies and ensure alignment across teams. Participate in trade shows and industry events to gather competitive and market intelligence.
  • Manage and interpret syndicated data (Nielsen, IRI, SPINS, Numerator), ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Maintain best practices for data visualization and reporting, leveraging tools like Power BI to deliver meaningful insights to stakeholders.
  • Support internal knowledge-sharing and training for analysts and cross-functional partners. Identify opportunities to enhance analytical processes, reporting, and storytelling capabilities within the organization.

Ideal Candidate

  • 3+ years of experience in
    Category Management, Shopper Insights, or Commercial Analytics
    , preferably within the CPG industry.
  • Strong understanding of the
    FDM retail landscape
    , with experience supporting major retailers such as Walmart, Kroger, or Albertsons.
  • Skilled in syndicated data tools (Nielsen, IRI, SPINS, Numerator) and advanced in
    Power BI
    , Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills — able to translate complex data into clear, persuasive insights.
  • Highly proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for customer meetings, team summits, or trade events.
