Job Summary

**3 weeks PTO accrued first year** We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Crane Operator to join our team. This role is critical in ensuring the safe and efficient movement of materials, contributing to the overall success of our projects.

Responsibilities

  • Operate cranes to lift, move, position, and reposition loads as required on construction sites.
  • Conduct pre-operational checks on cranes and other equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
  • Collaborate with site managers and other operators to coordinate lifting operations effectively.
  • Maintain clear communication with ground personnel using hand signals or radio communication during lifts.
  • Perform routine maintenance on cranes and report any mechanical issues or malfunctions immediately.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while operating machinery in various environments, including construction sites and farms.
  • Assist in the operation of additional equipment such as concrete mixers, front loader trucks, bulldozers, backhoes, and tankers as needed.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Crane Operator or in a similar role within the construction industry.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
  • Familiarity with operating various heavy machinery including Caterpillar equipment, concrete mixers, farm machinery, and commercial driving vehicles.
  • Valid crane operator certification is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to obtain certification is required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and adhering to safety standards.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members on-site.
  • Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor tasks associated with crane operation.
