Auto Body Painter

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Auto Body Painter to join our team in delivering high-quality vehicle refinishing and restoration services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in auto body repair, painting, and finishing, with experience working in dealership environments preferred. This role involves preparing vehicles for painting, applying paint and coatings with precision, and ensuring a flawless finish that meets customer expectations. The Auto Body Painter will also collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and maintain the highest standards of safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vehicle surfaces by sanding, grinding, and masking to ensure proper paint adhesion.
• Apply primer, base coats, clear coats, and touch-up paint using airless paint spraying equipment and hand tools.
• Perform buffing, polishing, and detailing to achieve a smooth, high-gloss finish.
• Repair minor dents, scratches, and imperfections using welding, auto body repair techniques, and hand tools.
• Assist with auto glass replacement and installation as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of work area and ensure all tools and equipment are properly stored after use.
• Collaborate with the team on vehicle assessments, estimations, and repairs to meet customer specifications.
• Follow safety protocols related to chemical handling, painting procedures, and heavy lifting.

Experience

• Prior dealership experience highly preferred.
• Proven expertise in auto body repair, auto painting, buffing, detailing, and vehicle restoration.
• Knowledge of welding techniques and mechanical systems related to automotive repairs.
• Hands-on experience with power tools, hand tools, airless paint spraying systems, and auto glass installation
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $28.42 per hour
