Overview

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with experience in fine dining or catering environments. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality meals to our guests while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene.

Duties

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
  • Assist in menu planning and development, ensuring a variety of options that meet dietary needs.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including all cooking equipment and utensils.
  • Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines to ensure safe food handling practices.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
  • Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist with ordering as needed.
  • Support catering events by preparing meals and assisting with service as required.
  • Utilize knife skills effectively for meal preparation while ensuring safety protocols are followed.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a restaurant or culinary environment is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and presentation skills.
  • Experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is a plus.
  • Familiarity with menu planning and catering services is advantageous.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • A commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene practices.
