What you'll do
Our Supply Chain & Operations Business Process Center of Excellence builds and maintains the tooling and frameworks relied on for Viasat's business transformation journeys.
We are looking for a collaborative, motivated intern to join us You will become a member of a team that is dedicated to achieve a groundbreaking intelligent operation and is motivated to push the boundaries and face new challenges head-on. The architectural elements relied upon to optimize our operations network is a complex system that is always in flux. We develop capability models and use process management principles to drive value for the business by bridging the gap between strategic objectives and how we execute reliably across the people, process, and technology portfolios.
The team partners closely with different members of the business, like domain guides and leaders, for regular feedback and alignment of business objectives or requirements. Our relationship with program management is key to push successful implementation of major improvements and the use of resources most efficiently. We also rely on many joint efforts with our enterprise architecture and technology practices to establish and govern new standards and guidelines for policies and tools. It is our duty to act as one team at Viasat and collaborate across departments to continuously innovate how we operate and scale the business to bring greater value to our customers.
The day-to-day
- Collaborate with business partners working on global rollout expansion to capture requirements and ensure new processes align with local needs and regulations
- Assist in testing the system against defined requirements and identifying potential issues
- Develop and improve process flows and standard operating procedures
- Build workflows used to simplify process and governance
- Champion digital transformations & process improvement efforts
- Partner with change agents and leaders to ensure they have the relevant information to sponsor initiatives
- Aid in collecting and reviewing user feedback on our new ERP system
- Assist in tailoring communication messages for diverse groups of teams
- Support the assessment of the impact of changes across various departments
- Identify trends and patterns in data collected across operational domains
Internship Program Details:
- You will work onsite at a Viasat office location for the duration of your internship. Viasat embraces a flexible work environment and onsite/hybrid work is determined by individual roles and teams.
- Housing and relocation assistance are available to interns pending eligibility.
- To ensure equity across our intern population, intern compensation is pre-determined based on a variety of factors including: role, location, and final graduation date. Intern compensation is non-negotiable.
What you'll need
Requirements:
- Education: Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Industrial Technology, Business/IT, Supply Chain or related field
- To be eligible for this position your final graduation date must fall between December 2025 and June 2026
Internship Dates: You must be available to work 40 hours/week for the full duration of the internship program as outlined in the cohort dates below. Limited exceptions may be granted. Viasat offers two options based on semester and quarter academic calendars:
Cohort 1: May 18, 2026 – August 14, 2026
Cohort 2: June 22, 2026 – September 18, 2026
Citizenship: US Citizenship is required for this position
- Additional:
- Strong leadership, teamwork, and facilitation skills
- Proven analytical and problem solving skills
- Learn cloud tools and software quickly
- Basic project management skills to meet achievements and timelines
- Motivated to put themselves in slightly uncomfortable situations to find new areas of growth
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools
What will help you on the job
- Familiarity with enterprise architecture tools like LeanIX
- Experience with business process documentation tools like Signavio, Blueworks, or Visio
- Experience with ERP systems like Oracle or SAP
- Familiar with Agile/Scrum methodology
- Understanding of Lean and/or Six Sigma principles
- Comfortable with project or task management tools like Jira and
- Previous Viasat internship experience
Salary range
$ $56.97 / hourly. For specific work locations within San Jose, the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, the base pay range for this role is $ $67.07/ hourly

Base pay may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
