Overview

We are seeking a talented and personable Stylist to join our vibrant salon team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for hair and beauty, exceptional customer service skills, and a dedication to creating a welcoming environment for clients. This role offers opportunities to showcase expertise in various styling techniques, build lasting client relationships, and contribute to the overall success of our salon. Experience with salon management systems such as MINDBODY is a plus, along with a strong foundation in sanitation and safety standards.

Duties

  • Provide professional hair styling services including cuts, color treatments, blowouts, and special occasion styles
  • Perform advanced services such as hair extensions, eyelash extensions, and hair threading
  • Apply makeup and nail care treatments to enhance client satisfaction
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in accordance with industry regulations
  • Utilize salon software like MINDBODY for appointment scheduling, client records, and retail sales management
  • Assist clients with product recommendations and retail sales to support their beauty needs
  • Manage front desk responsibilities including greeting clients and scheduling appointments
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to a positive team environment
  • Upsell salon services and retail products effectively to maximize client experience and revenue

Experience

  • Proven experience in hair styling, barbering, or cosmetology with a strong portfolio of work
  • Knowledge of color theory, hair cutting techniques, and styling tools such as straight razors
  • Familiarity with retail sales strategies and retail math for upselling products
  • Experience with salon management software like MINDBODY or similar platforms
  • Skills in customer service, communication, and building rapport with diverse clientele
  • Ability to perform specialized services including hair extensions, eyelash extensions, makeup application, and nail care
  • Knowledge of sanitation protocols and safety standards within a salon environment
  • Previous store management or mentoring experience is advantageous but not required
