Position Overview:

We are seeking a certified Public Accountant (CPA), Enrolled Agent (EA), or Licensed Tax Consultant (LTC) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge in tax preparation and accounting, excellent communication skills, and a client-focused mindset. This position offers flexibility—full-time during tax season and full-time or part-time during the off season.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review individual, business, and fiduciary tax returns (Forms 1040, 1120, 1120S, 1065, etc.)
  • Conduct tax planning and research to identify opportunities for minimizing tax liabilities
  • Review client financial records for accuracy and completeness
  • Provide accounting and bookkeeping support, including reconciliations and adjustments
  • Communicate with clients regarding tax matters, deadlines, and documentation needs
  • Assist in responding to IRS or state notices and represent clients when authorized
  • Stay updated on current tax laws, regulations, and best practices

Qualifications:

· Active CPA or EA or Licensed Tax Consultant (Oregon Board)

· Must have at least two years of experience in tax preparation

· Accounting degree a plus

· Knowledge of UltraTax software is a plus

· Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment

· Must be proficient, detail-oriented and have organizational skills

· Strong accounting skills

· Strong accuracy and attention to detail

· Strong verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Skills:

· Experience working with small and medium-sized business clients

· Knowledge of payroll tax, sales tax filings, and business entity structures

· Experience with tax notice resolution and IRS correspondence

· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and tax planning tools

Work Schedule:

  • Tax Season (Jan–Apr): Full-Time (in-person)
  • Off Season (May–Dec): Full-Time or Part-Time (flexible schedule)
