Job Description

As a Security Officer - Patrol Driver - Part Time in Grosse Pointe Woods, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you'll use our exclusive Claim a Shift platform to view and Pick up open shifts based on your availability—giving you the freedom to build a schedule that works for you, while gaining valuable site experience across various industries. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol commercial real estate locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and supporting a secure environment for tenants and visitors. You will be a visible presence throughout the property, conducting routine patrols and providing outstanding customer service. This position requires driving as part of your daily duties. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the property and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
  • Observe and report any irregularities or incidents at the location, such as property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
  • Communicate with Allied Universal management, site personnel, and law enforcement as required.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and/or unusual situations encountered during patrols.
  • Follow all post orders, client protocols, and instructions specific to the commercial real estate environment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • CPR and/or first aid certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
