JOB SUMMARY

The Comin' Up Director of Case Management, under the supervision of the Senior Director, is responsible for the implementation and successful execution of case management services for the Comin' Up program. The Comin' Up Director of Case Management will develop, implement, and evaluate case management services that accomplish short to mid-term outcome indicators and long range outcomes.

DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

Leadership & Administration

  • Supervise and support a team of Case Managers and Counselors
  • Ensuring high-quality, youth-centered service delivery aligned with program goals and values
  • Responsible for oversight and administration of case management services to participants
  • Review case management performance and trend data to identify next step development opportunities for case management
  • Facilitate regular individual and team supervision meetings, promoting collaboration, accountability, and professional growth.
  • Collaborate with program leadership to improve service delivery models, workflows, and outcomes tracking.
  • Provide ongoing training opportunities for case management and counseling staff
  • Serve as a point of escalation for complex youth or family cases, providing guidance or direct intervention as needed.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with external service providers, including mental health, housing, education, and workforce development resources.
  • Coordinate with internal programs
  • Develop new and maintain existing external partnerships
  • Manage the routine spending in line with approved budget; ensure all spending is reasonable, allocable and allowable

Case Management

  • Coach Case Managers on best practices, including youth engagement, service planning, documentation, and resource navigation
  • Step in to provide temporary case management support during staff absences, high-need periods, or other coverage needs
  • Monitor caseloads, service quality, and compliance with program protocols, funder requirements, and legal standards

Mental Health

  • Review and approve referrals to counseling
  • Provide oversight and support to the Counselor, ensuring services are trauma-informed, developmentally appropriate, and ethically delivered
  • Monitor caseloads, service quality, and compliance with program protocols, funder requirements, and legal standards

Court Referral

  • Provide support to Case Managers or Site Directors in the completion and submission of court docket and Tarrant County Juvenile Services referral forms

Compliance

  • Ensure documentation and reporting are timely, accurate, and aligned with privacy and confidentiality standards (e.g., HIPAA, FERPA).
  • Manage and provide data for grant deliverables by deadline
  • Accountable for successful implementation and completion of grant and contract requirements as it pertains to case management activities
  • Responsible for the accurate and on-time completion of monthly reports pertaining to case management activities
  • Responsible for tracking and reporting on case management key performance metrics and implementing course correction as needed to meet performance goals
  • Ensure Case Managers and Counselors are entering data into MyClub Hub according to set standards

Requirements

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience; social service majors preferred
  • Experience with management, fiscal responsibility, case management, and youth programming
  • Minimum two years experience working with at-risk and/or gang involved youth or teen-focused programming for youth development

  • Work environment:  This job is performed in Boys & Girls Club facilities similar to youth recreational facility or community center, school setting, and/or public housing setting. Time is also spent in the community. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud and at times moderate or very loud. Work sites are located in low income areas, challenging neighborhoods, and growth neighborhoods. Position may require employees to work with challenging youth and family members; speak with or assist upset parents/guardians; speak with external partners, school staff and community members; may be exposed to emotional outbursts from youth or their family members; periodic home visits, regular school visits, and at times work in inclement weather.  Frequently supervise youth/members. May be exposed to infectious disease, must follow safety protocols. Position requires regular branch site hours. Position requires evenings, nights and weekends as needed to supervise and respond to site and organization needs and requirements, includes but not limited to meetings, phone calls, texts and emails as needed. Position is required to carry and utilize a mobile device. Seldom travel outside of the Dallas-Fort Worth metro area. Required to supervise and manage employees.
