Overview
The Forensic Psychologist role will support our behavioral health practice.
Baker Street Behavioral Health
is committed to working with and providing the highest quality care to individuals in need of psychological services. Clinicians will work as part of our practice, servicing patients, couples, and families who are in need of psychological care.
This hybrid position is out of our Fair Lawn office. Daytime sessions available. Additional NJ office locations and hiring are available in Cedar Grove, Paramus, Flemington, and Franklin Lakes. Clinicians can work in multiple offices, if preferred. If you are licensed in multiple states, Baker Street is seeing patients across the country.
You will
- Conduct specialized forensic evaluations (e.g., competency, criminal responsibility, risk assessment, fitness-for-duty, juvenile evaluations, psychological functioning).
- Administer and interpret psychological and cognitive assessments (e.g., MMPI-3, PAI, WAIS-V, WRAT-5, etc.).
- Review collateral records, police reports, school files, and medical/psychiatric documentation.
- Conduct structured and semi-structured forensic interviews.
- Produce comprehensive, clear, and legally defensible forensic reports.
- Maintain impartiality, ethics, and compliance with APA Forensic Specialty Guidelines.
You have
- Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical, Counseling, or Forensic Psychology.
- Active state license as a Psychologist (NJ, NY, or multi-state preferred).
- Prior experience in forensic assessment (internship/postdoc/previous evaluations).
- Strong testing, diagnostic, and report-writing skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
The compensation range for this role is a percentage (
35% - 60%)
of the amount billed for the evaluations
and actual compensation offered will depend on several factors, including but not limited to: work experience, education, skill level, and/or other business and organizational needs. In addition, an annual bonus, incentive bonus and/or restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package.
