Duties

  • Manage daily food production activities, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and efficiency standards.
  • Lead and coordinate production teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Utilize ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems such as SAP to plan, monitor, and optimize manufacturing processes.
  • Oversee production planning and scheduling to meet customer demands while minimizing waste and downtime.
  • Implement process improvements through lean manufacturing techniques and supply chain analytics to enhance productivity.
  • Maintain rigorous quality control protocols to ensure products meet regulatory standards and company specifications.
  • Collaborate with supply chain management to streamline procurement, inventory management, and logistics operations.
  • Monitor plant operations, including mechanical systems and assembly lines, ensuring optimal performance through mechanical knowledge and proactive maintenance strategies.
  • Drive initiatives for process improvement by analyzing data, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing innovative solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a safe working environment for all team members.
  • Prepare reports on production metrics, operational efficiency, and supply chain performance for senior management review.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in production management within a manufacturing or food processing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP, MRP (Material Requirements Planning), ERP systems, and supply chain management tools.
  • Demonstrated expertise in lean manufacturing principles, process improvement methodologies, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing operations including assembly lines, mechanical systems, and quality control processes.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and foster a collaborative work environment.
  • Mechanical knowledge relevant to plant equipment maintenance and troubleshooting is highly desirable.
  • Ability to analyze data using supply chain analytics tools to identify opportunities for efficiency gains.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
  • Effective communication skills for cross-functional collaboration across departments such as procurement, quality assurance, engineering, and operations management.
