Duties

  • Enforce local, state, and federal laws by patrolling assigned areas to deter and respond to criminal activity
  • Conduct criminal investigations by gathering evidence, interviewing witnesses, and preparing detailed reports
  • Respond promptly to emergency calls, accidents, and incidents, providing first aid and CPR when necessary
  • Perform surveillance operations to monitor suspicious activities and prevent unlawful behavior
  • Manage conflict situations with professionalism and tact, de-escalating tense encounters effectively
  • Handle animal-related incidents including animal control and care when required
  • Write comprehensive reports documenting investigations, arrests, and incidents for legal proceedings

Requirements

  • Valid certification as a Police Officer with current law enforcement credentials
  • Demonstrated experience in criminal investigation, report writing, and law enforcement procedures
  • Knowledge of first aid, CPR, and emergency response protocols
  • Ability to operate law enforcement vehicles safely through proficient driving skills
  • Strong leadership qualities with the ability to manage conflicts calmly and effectively
  • Experience in surveillance techniques and security operations is highly desirable
  • Familiarity with immigration law, loss prevention strategies, animal handling, and security systems is a plus
  • Prior military or related service experience is advantageous but not mandatory
  • Must possess or be able to acquire a license and certification in Basic Law Enforcement from the South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy
  • Must possess a valid South Carolina driver's license
  • Must possess the ability to use basic computer equipment and programs
  • Must speak clearly, write legibly, and formulate basic reports and general correspondence

Pay: $21.00 per hour
