Description: Burlington Township School District is currently seeking a tenure-track Special Education Teacher for Burlington Township High School. Burlington Township is seeking an energetic individual who is seeking employment in a student centered learning environment. The successful candidate must be able to maintain and foster a positive learning environment, have a strong and comprehensive knowledge of the content area, and demonstrate strong communication skills. Candidates must hold a Teacher of the Handicapped (TOH) certification or a Teacher of Students with Disabilities (TOSD) certification along with a subject specialization. Applicants must upload proof of their NJDOE certifications.

Job Requirements:
Valid New Jersey certification: Teacher of the Handicapped or Teacher of Students w/ Disabilities (TOSD) with subject specialization.
Must meet NJ residency requirements
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
A passion for teaching, with the ability to connect with students and create a positive learning atmosphere
Required criminal history background check, proof of US citizenship or legal resident alien status.
Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Highly organized and motivated. Self-starter. Ability to work independently.
Ability to work effectively as a member of a team and demonstrate flexibility.
