Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable and adaptable team member who can confidently support both kitchen operations and front-of-house service. This position is ideal for someone who can cook in the back when needed and also run plates to customers to ensure seamless and efficient service. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong teamwork skills, clear communication, and the ability to stay composed in a fast-paced environment. Reliability, attention to detail, and a willingness to assist wherever needed are essential for success in this role. Compensation starts at minimum wage plus tips.

You will assist with food preparation, cooking, plating, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen. Additionally, you will help deliver dishes to guests, support servers during peak hours, and ensure food is presented accurately and promptly. Prior experience in a restaurant or kitchen setting is highly valued, and a strong commitment to food safety and customer service is expected. This role plays an important part in maintaining smooth daily operations and contributing to a positive dining experience for every guest.

Responsibilities as Server

  • Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders from guests
  • Serve meals and drinks efficiently while maintaining presentation standards
  • Ensure timely delivery of orders and check on guest satisfaction throughout their meal
  • Handle cash and process payments accurately
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area before, during, and after service
  • Assist in setting up tables, refilling supplies, and resetting tables for new guests
  • Follow food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation during service
  • Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly to enhance their dining experience

Responsibilities as Cook

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to restaurant recipes and quality standards
  • Ensure all food is cooked efficiently, presented well, and served at the proper temperature
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized workstation throughout the shift
  • Follow proper food safety, storage, and handling procedures at all times
  • Assist with prepping ingredients, portioning items, and restocking supplies as needed
  • Communicate clearly with servers and other kitchen staff to ensure smooth service
  • Monitor food inventory levels and notify management when items need restocking
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and report any issues immediately
  • Follow daily opening and closing kitchen procedures
  • Support team members during busy hours to maintain fast and consistent service

Requirements

  • Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or culinary environment preferred
  • Knowledge of food handling, safety standards, and proper serving techniques
  • Strong communication skills with a friendly demeanor
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
  • Experience with menu planning or fine dining is a plus
  • Skills in food preparation, cooking, or catering are advantageous but not required
  • Knife skills or culinary experience can be beneficial for understanding meal components
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
  • A genuine passion for providing excellent customer service and creating memorable dining experiences

Job Type: Part-time
