Bergen Community College is accepting applications for adjunct positions in the Echocardiography department in the Division of Health Professions for Spring 2026.

Health professions or health care professions is a program of study that prepares students to become medical or wellness professionals.

Responsibilities: 

Adjunct Clinical Faculty in Echocardiography provide clinical instruction, mentorship, and assessment for students in Bergen Community College's Diagnostic Medical Sonography program. This role includes weekly on-site supervision at assigned clinical affiliates and collaboration with program faculty to support student learning and competency attainment in accordance with CAAHEP standards. 

Total hours per week range from 3-9 hours, depending on the assignment and faculty availability.

Qualifications: 

  • RDCS or RCS credential in good standing.
  • Minimum two years of clinical experience in echocardiography.
  • Current AHA BLS Provider certification.
  • Graduate of a JRC-DMS accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
  • Proficiency with electronic clinical documentation systems (Trajecsys preferred).
  • Strong communication, organizational, and mentoring skills.
  • Commitment to supporting student development and clinical competence.

Rates and Benefits:

  • Adjunct rates range from $950 to $960. The pay rates are $950 for a Bachelor's and $960 for a Master's. 
  • Tuition Waiver for BCC courses for themselves or their dependents
  • ABP and 403b
