Job Overview

We are seeking a fun, energetic Music Teacher to lead interactive, play-based music classes for young children. The ideal candidate loves working with kids and uses music, movement, and rhythm to create a joyful learning environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead engaging music classes for children ages 0–6
  • Introduce basic musical concepts through songs, rhythm, movement, and play
  • Use age-appropriate instruments (shakers, drums, bells, etc.)
  • Encourage participation, confidence, and creativity
  • Set up and clean up instruments and materials
  • Maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment
  • Communicate with parents and Hoboken Hideout staff as needed

Qualifications

  • Experience teaching music and/or working with young children
  • Musical background (voice, instruments, early childhood music, or similar)
  • Energetic, patient, and reliable
  • Comfortable leading small groups of young children
  • Early childhood education experience a plus (not required)
