Job Description:
Onset Technologies is seeking a
Senior Project Manager
to our client in replacing the current
Program Integrity Case Tracker (PICT)
system with a modern case management solution. The new system will enhance functionality, improve operational efficiency, and provide flexibility for future enhancements. The Senior Project Manager will lead the initiative by implementing standard project management practices for Agile teams, establishing effective project organization, and ensuring successful coordination between business and technical stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing large-scale enterprise projects in state or federal environments and a proven ability to deliver within structured frameworks such as PMI, Agile, and the Texas Project Delivery Framework.

This position is
hybrid
and
open only to local candidates in the Austin, TX area.
Eligibility:
Must be local to the Austin area and able to work onsite. Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship or visa transfer.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee design, development, and implementation activities for the new case management system.
  • Manage projects using feature-driven Agile methodology; track development progress and ensure alignment with established timelines and deliverables.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, charters, and schedules.
  • Identify, document, and manage project risks, issues, and contingency plans.
  • Provide timely status updates and facilitate regular team and stakeholder meetings.
  • Guide and oversee the SDLC process, ensuring business requirements are effectively translated into technical deliverables.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with project sponsors, stakeholders, and technical teams.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations and reports for leadership and oversight entities.
  • Provide technical and analytical support as needed throughout all project phases.
  • Offer knowledge transfer and mentorship to existing staff members.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 8+ years of project management experience leading large-scale enterprise implementations.
  • 8+ years of experience managing projects for State of Texas agencies or equivalent federal/state entities.
  • 8+ years of experience in software development environments.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience with the Texas Project Delivery Framework (TPDF).
  • PMP Certification (preferred).
  • 3+ years of experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • 2+ years of Salesforce project experience.
  • 1+ year of experience with State procurement and contracting.
  • 1+ year of experience using Jira or similar project management tools.
