Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and professional Box Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating box trucks to deliver goods to various locations, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries. This role requires excellent customer service skills, physical strength for heavy lifting, and experience with route driving. The successful applicant will play a vital role in maintaining our company's reputation for dependable delivery services.

Duties

  • Safely operate box trucks for local and regional deliveries, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • Load and unload cargo using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual handling techniques, ensuring proper handling of goods.
  • Plan delivery routes efficiently to meet schedules and optimize fuel usage.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by interacting professionally with clients during deliveries.
  • Verify delivery orders and documentation for accuracy before departure and upon arrival.
  • Maintain cleanliness and routine inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety standards are met.
  • Assist with warehouse operations as needed, including inventory management and stock organization.
  • Use route driving skills to navigate urban and rural areas effectively.

Experience

  • Previous experience as a delivery driver or courier is preferred, especially with box trucks or similar commercial vehicles.
  • Warehouse experience is a plus, including familiarity with forklift operation and pallet jacks.
  • Proven ability to handle heavy lifting and moving tasks safely.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or driver certification is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Experience with manual transmission vehicles is preferred.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members. This position offers an opportunity to be an integral part of our logistics team, ensuring efficient delivery operations while providing excellent service to our customers.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
