NuVision Engineering (NVE), Inc., with locations in Pittsburgh, PA and Mooresville, NC, is a leading technology and applications engineering company focused on providing value in commercial nuclear and power plant facilities, government nuclear remediation facilities and radioactive waste clean-up.

NuVision Engineering has an immediate opening in our Pittsburgh, PA or Mooresville, NC location for a Quality Engineer to oversee and execute our Quality and EHS Programs for all "nuclear safety" related project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Control and management of our nuclear QA Program, Safety Program, and implementing procedures.
  • Working closely with Project Managers and teams to perform project work efficiently and effectively.
  • Ensuring contract and code requirements are maintained throughout each project life cycle. This will include industry standards such as:

  • ASME

  • NQA-1
  • International quality standards
  • ISO

  • Coordinate with project engineering to determine/communicate customer and regulatory requirements

  • Assist Project Managers and engineering teams with project QA program implantation
  • Create and revise technical procedures which support the QA program
  • Provide quality oversight at vendors and other project sites.
  • Provide auditing and audit support
  • Evaluate quality assurance program effectiveness
  • Review supplier documentation for compliance with purchase order and standard requirements
  • Guide corrective action
  • Analyze customer feedback and make changes

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of Quality Assurance experience, especially in the nuclear industry or a technical manufacturing environment
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or another relevant field
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
  • ANSI or ASME Lead Auditor Certification
  • Dimensional inspection skills.
  • Travel Requirements - up to 10% (domestic and international)
