Job Duties
Front Entry Control
- Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor at all times.
- Read and understand the Resident Visitation Facility Instruction.
- Be familiar with all visitation rules and enforce them accordingly.
- Ensure all visitors are appropriately dressed prior to entering the visitation room.
- Distribute duress badges, visitor identification cards, and temporary identification cards.
- Observe and control entrance and exit of pedestrian traffic into and exiting the facility.
- Record the entry and exit of all visitors and contractors in the Resident Management System (RMS).
- Record all tools entering/exiting the facility.
- Report any lost or missing tools to a Facility Manager.
- Report any incidents per policy.
- Register all employee vehicles.
Communicate any coverage needs with supervisor and required departments.
Office Services Support
- Answer the multi-line phone professionally.
- Transfer calls to the appropriate department.
- Provide excellent customer service to internal and external entities.
- Assist the Unit Secretaries as needed.
- Monitors the use of staff lockers.
Assist with internal and external mail distribution.
Behavioral Redirection & Behavioral Management
- Use Therapeutic Options techniques to support and assist residents.
Properly operate a state vehicle.
Minimum Qualifications
High school graduation or equivalent combination training and experience.
Experience in an employment setting in typing and current office equipment and systems such as personal computer and software including Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint which are currently being used required.
Experience handling multiple phone calls for various departments, or switchboard experience required.
Additional Considerations
Experience with a forensic population preferred.
