Responsibilities

  • Perform thorough cleaning of residential spaces, including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, living areas, and other designated rooms.
  • Execute various cleaning tasks such as dusting, vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, and polishing surfaces to ensure a pristine environment.
  • Handle laundry duties including washing, drying, folding, and organizing clothing and linens with care.
  • Maintain high standards of sanitation by disinfecting bathrooms and kitchens to promote a healthy living space.
  • Care for flooring through specialized floor care techniques such as carpet cleaning, waxing, or polishing as needed.
  • Manage kitchen cleanliness by cleaning appliances, countertops, sinks, and ensuring proper sanitation practices are followed.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients about their specific cleaning preferences and needs.
  • Use janitorial and custodial experience to efficiently organize supplies and ensure all cleaning tools are maintained properly.
  • Follow safety protocols and use appropriate cleaning products to prevent accidents or damage to property.
  • Assist with housekeeping management tasks when required, including scheduling or coordinating cleaning appointments.

Skills

  • Proven experience in residential cleaning or custodial roles; hotel or commercial cleaning experience is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of sanitation standards and best practices for maintaining a hygienic environment.
  • Ability to perform detailed floor care including carpet cleaning and polishing techniques.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor.
  • Competence in laundry procedures—washing, folding, stain removal—and managing household chores efficiently.
  • Familiarity with janitorial equipment and cleaning supplies; ability to operate vacuum cleaners, steam cleaners, buffers, etc.
  • Basic cooking skills are advantageous for assisting with light meal prep or kitchen tidying when needed.
  • Good physical stamina: ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects safely, bend, kneel, and move quickly around the home.
  • Attention to detail and positive attitude, with a proactive approach to identifying areas needing extra care or attention.
