About You
You're a leader. Optimist. Ready to build. Your focus is on client success and agency wins. You understand how the communication landscape is changing and see the opportunities as the industry evolves. While others are looking at the road in front of us, you have your eye on the horizon, ready to lead your agency and teammates to the future. As a Vice President at Nectar, you'll be focused on growing client partnerships and securing strategic new business wins, as well as nurturing professional growth in your fellow Nectarines. You'll be a central figure and architect of Nectar's next chapter.
What You Do
You'll be overseeing strategy and growth across 3-5 tech-focused client teams and play an integral role on the Nectar leadership team. Your day-to-day might include:
Executive Level Client Counsel
- Providing partnership and counsel to the highest level clients/executives anticipating their needs proactively and reactively
Strategic Communications
- Spotting trends and knowing their impact, and providing proactive recommendations; Ensuring strategy is driven by insights and align with brand goals
Operational Excellence
- Overseeing for the general health of accounts efficiently managing budgets, staffing, scoping and other aspects of day-to-day operations
People Leader
- Embodying Nectar's culture and values, investing in staff development, and setting a high standard of quality and excellence internally and externally
Business Development
- Working with other Nectar leaders to identify and achieve agency goals and growth strategy, as well as driving and directing new business
Industry Expert
- Representing Nectar in the industry whether at events, speaking opportunities and other platforms that increase the agency's visibility
Media Relations
- Developing and oversee major media programs, and maintaining relationships with highest level of industry press
What You Offer
Experience & Expertise
- 10+ years in tech public relations, with at least 5 years of agency experience
- At least 5 years directly supervising individuals and managing teams
- Deep understanding of the changing media landscape including emerging technology, AI and more
Dynamic Leadership
- A record of new business wins and client growth under your leadership
- Efficient account operations management from budgets and staffing to mitigating team burnout and turnover
- Solutions-oriented mindset that's focused on meeting goals while remaining nimble
Strategy & Client Counsel
- Experience working alongside executive-level clients offering real time strategic counsel
- Expert storyteller and engaging presenter able to build creative slide decks and narratives

- Annual salary range of $175,000 - $210,000 (depending on experience)
