If you are interested in being part of building something special, this is the perfect position for you. Fit2Run is rapidly growing and looking for runners and running enthusiasts to fill our the position of Retail Sales Associate for our Specialty Running store in Clearwater.

As a Retail Associate at Fit2RUn, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and assisting customers with their running gear needs. You will work closely with the store manager and fellow associates to create a positive and engaging shopping experience for running enthusiasts. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting customers, maintaining store organization, and contributing to sales goals.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Customer Service:

  • Greet and engage customers in a friendly and knowledgeable manner, offering assistance and product recommendations.

  • Provide expert advice on running shoes, apparel, and accessories based on individual needs, preferences, and running goals.

  • Respond to customer inquiries, address concerns, and handle product returns or exchanges with professionalism and courtesy.

2. Sales and Product Knowledge:

  • Utilize your knowledge of running gear and products to assist customers in making informed purchasing decisions.

  • Recommend complementary products and upsell accessories to enhance the customer's running experience.

  • Meet or exceed individual sales targets, contributing to the overall store's sales goals.

3. Store Operations and Merchandising:

  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the store, including product displays, shelves, and fitting areas.

  • Receive and process merchandise shipments, ensuring accurate inventory counts and proper storage.

  • Assist with inventory management, conducting stock checks and restocking shelves as needed.

4. Cash Handling and Point-of-Sale (POS) Operations:

  • Accurately process customer transactions, including cash, credit cards, and digital payments, using the store's POS system.

  • Handle cash register duties, such as opening and closing procedures, cash reconciliation, and daily sales reporting.

  • Follow proper procedures for handling and documenting returns, exchanges, and refunds.

5. Team Collaboration:

  • Work collaboratively with other retail associates and the store manager to ensure a smooth and efficient operation.

  • Communicate effectively with team members, sharing product knowledge, best practices, and customer feedback.

  • Support fellow associates during peak periods, special events, and promotional activities.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Previous retail experience, preferably in the sports or specialty running industry.

  • Passion for running and a solid understanding of running gear, footwear, and apparel.

  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to create a positive and personalized shopping experience.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple customer interactions simultaneously.

  • Basic math skills for cash handling and POS operations.

  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $14.00 per hour
