Substation Electrician Technical Supervisor

Our client, an industry leader in electrical infrastructure and manufacturing support, is seeking a dedicated Substation Electrician Technical Supervisor to join their team. As a Substation Electrician Technical Supervisor, you will be an integral part of the electrical maintenance and operations department, supporting the ongoing reliability and safety of high-voltage electrical systems. What's the Job?

• Oversee installation, preventive maintenance, and corrective repairs on high-voltage substation components, transformers, switchgear, and protective relays.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues using testing devices and diagnostic tools, ensuring minimal downtime and operational efficiency.
• Lead switching operations, load transfers, and equipment isolation following strict safety procedures and lockout/tagout protocols.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, test results, and work logs to ensure compliance and operational tracking.
• Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and utility teams during system upgrades, commissioning, and shutdowns to ensure safety and efficiency.

What's Needed?

• Bachelor's Degree in electrical engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in high-voltage substation maintenance, repair, or operations (15kV–230kV+).
• Strong knowledge of OSHA 10/30, NFPA 70E, NEC, and lockout/tagout safety procedures.
• Demonstrated expertise in interpreting electrical schematics, blueprints, and one-line diagrams.
• State or Journeyman Electrician License preferred; certification in Electrical Safety (NFPA 70E) or OSHA 10/30 highly desirable.
