Summary:
Miller Milling is seeking a systems-savvy Senior Accountant who is energized by both accurate daily accounting and the opportunity to modernize and automate how the work gets done. This pivotal role will own core transactional and general ledger processes while also playing a key part in driving our transition toward autonomous, technology-enabled accounting.
Compensation: $80,441.52-$110,685.69 annually
Primary Duties:
Transactional & general ledger accounting:
- Own daily/weekly accounting cycles, including bank reconciliations, journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, AP/AR support (automated workflows, credit card processes), and fixed asset accounting
- Support month-end close to ensure timely, accurate financial statements
- Assist with audit requests and ensure compliance with internal controls
Process improvement, automation & systems:
- Identify manual processes and propose solutions to streamline or automate (inside D365 and through supporting tools)
- Work closely with the Senior Accounting Manager, Finance and IT to implement enhancements and workflow improvements
- Improve the quality and consistency of source data to enable more automated entries and exception-based accounting
- Assist with Power BI dashboards, data queries, or automation tools that reduce repetitive tasks
- Support other team initiatives, such as AP automation and timely invoicing of receivables, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
- 5+ years of finance or accounting professional experience; public accounting experience a plus.
- Proficiency with accounting software and eagerness to learn new digital technologies (PowerBi, PowerAutomate, Knime)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with colleagues and stakeholders
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Occasional travel required
Salary & Benefits:
The expected compensation range for this position is $80,441.52-$110,685.69, which includes annual base pay. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience. Position is eligible for variable incentive pay in accordance with performance in accordance with an annual bonus plan. In addition, this position may be eligible for a range of benefits (e.g., Medical, Dental & Vision, Health Care & Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, Disability Benefits, Life Insurance, Voluntary Benefits, Paid Absences and Retirement Benefits, etc.).
Work location:
Hybrid Eligible (Job Duties allow for some remote work but requires travel to Eden Prairie, MN office)
Travel: May include up to 5% domestic/international
Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
