Come join Bexorg, Decode the Brain. Reinvent Drug Discovery
Recent funding news: Bexorg Raises $42.5M to Transform CNS Drug Development with World's First Integrated AI and Whole-Human Brain Platform
About Bexorg
Bexorg develops systems that plan and execute human brain perfusion experiments and manage a growing biobank (10,000+ samples and growing rapidly) with zero tolerance for data failures.
Since Bexorg was founded by Dr. Zvonimir Vrselja and Dr. Nenad Sestan at Yale University in 2021, the company has rapidly advanced its whole-human brain drug discovery platform.
The company's foundational research, which demonstrated that cellular and metabolic activity could be restored to postmortem brains hours after death, was published in Nature (Nature
568
, 336– In 2024, Bexorg partnered with the University of Oxford and the UK Medical Research Council as part of a collaborative effort to advance translational gene therapy development for neurological diseases. In mid-2025, the company announced a research collaboration with pharmaceutical company Biohaven Ltd. to advance two of Biohaven's preclinical development programs. In the last 18 months, Bexorg has expanded its proprietary dataset to include hundreds of whole-brain experiments spanning Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, and other neurodegenerative conditions, establishing one of the world's largest repositories of human CNS data.
Building on continuous growth of its proprietary human brain dataset, Bexorg is now training foundation models on petabyte-scale human brain molecular data, creating the first AI system grounded in experimentally measured human neurobiology.
Role Summary
We are seeking a Lead Full Stack Architect to spearhead the architecture, development, and
continuous improvement of our internal data applications and platform services. In this senior
role you will design end‑to‑end web solutions that integrate proprietary data pipelines, AI
services, and visualization layers, driving our mission to revolutionize treatments for neurological
disorders.
Own the next generation of our data application. You will lead green‑field, full‑stack efforts to build a secure,
cloud‑native web app that lets scientists schedule brain perfusion runs
, capture petabyte‑scale data in real time, and explore insights through rich interactive dashboards. You will chart the technical vision, select the stack, and guide implementation from proof‑of‑concept to production.
Key Responsibilities:
Product & Architecture Leadership –
Define the technical vision and system design
for internal data applications; translate business requirements into scalable, maintainable
architectures.
Full‑Stack Development –
Build and maintain front‑end (e.g., React/TypeScript) and
back‑end services (Python/FastAPI, , or Go) that integrate seamlessly with
Google Cloud services and proprietary code.
Data & API Integration –
Collaborate with data engineering to expose curated datasets
via REST/GraphQL APIs; design efficient data‑access layers and caching strategies for
high‑throughput analytics.
Cloud Infrastructure & DevOps –
Own CI/CD, container orchestration
(GKE/Cloud Run), infrastructure‑as‑code (Terraform), observability, and cost
management.
Security & Compliance –
Implement authentication/authorization, encryption in
transit/at rest, and least‑privilege IAM; partner with IT to meet HIPAA and SOC 2 goals.
Performance & Reliability Engineering –
Optimize latency and throughput; design for
fault tolerance, auto‑scaling, and zero‑downtime deploys.
Team Mentorship –
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to full‑stack and
data‑engineering teammates; establish coding standards and best practices.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration –
Work closely with neuroscientists, product owners,
AI/ML engineers, and cloud architects to deliver features that unlock scientific insight.
