As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Data Center Facilities Technician Level II to join our team and drive our relationships with hyperscale clients to new heights.Job Description: Data Center Facilities Technician Level II (Mechanical or Electrical)The Data Center Facilities Technician Level II plays a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our client's facility by overseeing technical maintenance, managing the infrastructure maintenance program, and prioritizing sustainability initiatives.Key Responsibilities:• Develops creative approaches to keep operational costs to a minimum, improve efficiency,and implements newstrategies for Mechanical, Electrical, and Fire Life Safety systems• Tests performanceof electromechanical assemblies and electronic volt meters• Reads blueprints, schematics, diagrams or technical orders to determine methods andsequences ofprocesses• Inspects equipmentfor defects, leaks, and potential issues• Installselectrical/electronic parts and hardware in housings/assemblies with hand tools• Aligns, fits orassembles component parts using hand/power tools• Operates, monitors, maintains, and responds to abnormal conditions in Mechanical,Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Life Safety, Security Systems, Building Monitoring Systems, andControl systems• Analyze systems toensure best practice for internal/external customers• Provides feedbackon effectiveness of existing standards and processes• Works with contractors and consultants to review quality assurance for all systemexpansions,corrections, and upgrades• Collaborates on the tracking and completing aggressive preventive and predictivemaintenance programs• Collaborates ondetermining maintenance requirements for mechanical, electrical,plumbing, fire lifesafety systems, and security systems• Providesmart/remote hands assistance within specified SLA• Moves/Adds/Changes hardware install including labeling, power connectivity, and networkcable connectivityQualifications:• Minimum 2 years of experience in mechanical or electrical and industrial maintenance within a commercial or industrial setting.• Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance.• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage resources effectively, and adapt to changing priorities.• Proficiency in computerized maintenance management systems and Microsoft and Google Applications.• Proven experience in maintenance operations in a commercial or industrial facility, with a focus on HVAC or Electrical systems.• Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, or HVAC experience with a proficiency in handling refrigerants. Physical Requirements:Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment, up to 40lbs.Ability to climb ladders and multiple flights of stairs to access elevated equipmentAbility to stand for long periods of time in various work environmentsAbility to bend, stoop, kneel, and reach for equipment related tasksBasic physical fitness to respond quickly to emergency situations and navigate areas quicklyAbility to move quickly and efficiently withing various work environments to troubleshoot issues or respond to emergencies.Good hand-eye coordination and dexterity for working with small components and connectorsClear vision, with or without correction, to perform tasks requiring attention to detail and precision while wearing safety glassesAbility to differentiate between color-coded warning signs, labels, and cablesAbility to work in environments with a wide variety temperature inside a facilityAbility to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including extreme temperatures, rain, or snowCapability to work in environments with elevated noise levels while wearing hearing protectionPossession of a valid driver's license for work-related travel, as requiredThose with military experience are encouraged to applyIf you are a motivated and results-driven individual with a passion for data center services and a knack for building strong client relationships, we want to hear from you.
