Job Summary

The Tax Analyst position is responsible for providing primary support and analysis as a tax generalist. The position will be involved in both direct and indirect tax compliance, global tax provision and accounting, transfer pricing, research, and overall support of tax positions on a domestic basis. This role is intended to provide an individual with a well-rounded tax experience that will build a foundation for continual growth and career opportunities.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare tax workpapers and supporting documentation to meet US (Federal, State, and Local) tax compliance requirements.
• Support the quarterly and year-end global tax provision and financial audit deliverables.
• Prepare and file indirect tax returns for monthly, quarterly and annual filings in the US, and outside the US as required.
  • Reconcile tax basis fixed assets.
• Perform tax account reconciliations and prepare journal entities.
• Review and reconcile tax notices and respond to audit information requests from taxing authorities.
• Research new or existing legislation to present to management for action.
• Assist with global transfer pricing documentation and analyses.
• Support tax planning projects as they arise.

Expected Areas of Competence

• Possess strong organizational, interpersonal, analytical and written/verbal communication skills to liaise effectively with all management levels and business disciplines in a multinational corporate environment.
• Possess a strong understanding of tax principles, as well as an excellent understanding of accounting principles.
• Knowledge of tax accounting concepts such as ASC 740, FIN 18, and other applicable federal, state and indirect tax laws and regulations.
• Ability to analyze large quantities of data.
• Proficient-to-advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Products, preferably including experience working with financial tools and database software.

Education/Experience Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in accounting; a post-graduate degree in business or tax is preferred.
• Minimum of 0-2 years corporate tax experience.
• CPA certification preferred.
